RagenCurtin
Director & Instructor
Teaches
Ballet · Tap · Jazz · Hip Hop
Mrs. Ragen's love for dance started at just three years old—and she's been dancing, performing, and creating ever since! A lifelong lover of the arts, she spent her high school and college years not only dancing, but also performing in vocal and theatrical productions.
Ragen graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2004 with a degree in Marketing and Creative Advertising, but dance has always had a special place in her heart. For 15 years, she taught at Kim's School of Dance, working with dancers ages three and up in ballet, tap, jazz, and hip hop. Today, she loves teaching dancers of all ages and across multiple styles—and there's nothing better than watching a student grow in confidence, find their personality on stage, and fall in love with dance along the way.
Ragen believes some of the best things dancers take from the studio have nothing to do with perfect turns or pointed toes. Confidence, friendships, hard work, laughter, and memories that last a lifetime are just as important. Creating a studio where dancers feel encouraged, challenged, celebrated, and truly at home is what she loves most about what she does.
When she's not at the studio (which isn't often!), Ragen loves being involved in her community and spending time with her family. She lives in Glen Allen with her husband, Chris, their daughters, Camdyn (18) and Kenley (13), and their two dogs, Chevy and Marley.

Mandie Waagner
Senior Instructor
Mandie began her dance training at New York's Mary Lourdes Academy, studying ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, lyrical, and hip hop. She competed throughout the East Coast, earning numerous regional and state titles, and has performed in full-length productions of Peter Pan, Cinderella, and Alice in Wonderland. She has also served as a dance team captain and choreographer for local school teams and trained with Universal Dance Association.
Mandie is entering her 8th season at Innovation Dance, where she teaches and choreographs across multiple levels and styles. Outside of dance, she is a wife, stay-at-home mom of four, and enjoys cooking, shopping, exercise, and continuing to grow as a dancer and teacher.

Ella Richmond
Instructor
Ms. Ella began her dance journey in Maryland at the early age of 7. After moving to Virginia, she rigorously trained in numerous styles such as Ballet, Tap, Pointe, Jazz, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, Modern/Contemporary, Pom Funk, and Character Heels, and pursued opportunities like assistant teaching, competition dance, performing lead roles in Christmas showcases, choreographing and running the Student Dance Company, and participating in her childhood dance studio's student Ensemble.
After years of dancing, she discovered her love and passion for teaching dance. Since then, Ella has taught and choreographed at numerous dance studios in the Henrico, King William, and Ashland area.
With over eight years of experience in dance education teaching ages 2–18, her goal in every class is to not only educate and teach her students, but also foster a welcoming learning environment where students can safely challenge themselves and build confidence.
